Large: 25-30mm, 14.8-16.4g (Light banded patterning)
Medium: 25-29mm, 10-14g (Light banded patterning, colour inclusions)
Small: 25-30mm, 15-20g (Colour inclusions)

This collection of Jasper Rainforest Rhyolite combines mid-tone greens with white, orange and darker green inclusions. This mineral is typically very pitted because of how it is formed. However, this lot is exceptional quality with smoothly finished solid stone and only an occasional surface micro vug which is considered a nature feature of this type of mineral. Rhyolites form from rhyolitic lava and can be plain, banded or patterned with green, brown, orange, cream and red.

Interestingly, during solidification, trapped gas bubbles from lava flow create pockets in Rhyolite which may be filled by other minerals. This creates unique orbicular markings long with small pits or vugs which are natural characteristics of the stone.
