Tiger Iron is also known as Mugglestone, Desert Iron or Desert Tiger Iron. It is a combination stone of Tiger's Eye, Hematite and Jasper (Red for Tiger Iron and Yellow for Desert Iron). This empowering and protective stone is only found in the iron ore rich Pilbara region of Western Australia. It formed 2.2 billion years ago during Earth’s crust cooling Archaean era.

This is a premium quality Australian Tiger Iron with the eye-catching contrasting colours of earthy Red Jasper, deep, lustrous silver grey Hematite and Gold Tiger Eye fused together into one potent combination mineral. Each stone was selected for its unique, natural banded patterning displaying various combinations of the aforementioned minerals and colours with some showing minimal chatoyancy. There are micro surface pits, minimal texture and/or tiny polishing grooves which is normal and consistent with this type of mineral.
